Akshaya Tritiya vrat is observed on Tritiya of Shukla Paksha during Vaishakh month. The day not only commemorates countless grand tales of Lord Vishnu’s incarnations, it is also called Yugadi Tithi, due to which the relevance of this day increases manifold. Why? Because, the day marks Lord Vishnu taking various incarnations, such as Nar-Narayan, Parshuram, Hayagriva, etc. to obliterate the demon forces, thereby institutionalising peace and religions on the earth.

It should also be borne in mind that Akshaya Tritiya tithi is also called self-attested Muhurta, meaning a person doesn’t have to figure out an auspicious Muhurta during Akshaya Tritiya, as the period is purely auspicious. It is also said that Akshaya Tritiya may be a period signalling the advent of Satyug. It is also believed that the day may indicate the genesis of Treta Yuga from kalpbhed. In other words, Akshaya Tritiya is a gateway to a new era, thus standing out its relevance even more, along with the fact that the day is also significant due to its association with many incarnations of Lord Vishnu.

A devotee, a day before the puja, should invoke Lord Vishnu, praying to grant him the power and devotion to continue Akshaya Tritiya vrat successfully. Make sure that puja-related ingredients are properly stored and kept in a sacred place. Start the puja religiously, meaning follow all the rituals consistent with the Vedic rules. Ensure you are self-purified, meaning take a holy bath before the puja and conduct yourself quite religiously. Pray to Lord with all devotions. Lastly, offer your puja to the lord, and beg pardon for any mistake during the puja. It also means concluding your Akshaya Tritiya Puja vrat.

Due to extreme heat on Akshaya Tritiya day, people and other beings get agitated because of thirst.  Therefore, a devotee should offer things like cold water, rice, grams, milk, curd, sweets, etc. to a religious shrine. One should also do charitable work like arranging water for thirsty pedestrians, animals, etc. Taking a holy bath in Ganga is also deemed religiously appropriate on this day. Also, do charitable activities like donating valuables to the Brahmans and poor. These types of charitable activities bless a devotee with divine favours which never end. On this day, devotees should visit the temples of Lord Vishnu and Lord Parshuram. Puja dedicated to Nar-Narayana and Hargreaves should be done on this day.  Lord Uma Maheswara is also worshipped on Akshaya Tritiya. It is because the day of Akshaya Tritiya is dedicated to Mata Parvati. On this day, a devotee can also do Shraddha, meditations, and Havana to gain useful results. Given Akshaya Tritiya is an extremely auspicious Tithi, devotees, therefore, should attend worships and puja religiously, to make their life blessed with auspicious results, such as peace, fortunes, fame, prosperity, and salvation.
